Facility Division

Maintenance and Facility's main objective is devoted to coordination of space, infrastructure, people and the organization. Maintenance and facility is responsible for integrating processes within AS-EPA. 

The following are some of the main objectives of the Maintenance and Facility:

  • Minimize the loss of productive time due to equipment failure.
  • Maximize the efficient use of maintenance and equipments.
  • Minimize accidents through regular inspection and repair of safety devices.
  • Prolong the life of capital assets by minimizing the rate of wear and tear.
  • Keep all productive assets in good working conditions.

Maintenance is an important factor in quality assurance within AS-EPA. Inconsistencies in equipments and vehicles can lead to variability in product characteristics and result in defective parts that fail to meet the established specifications can cause a lot of AS-EPA's operation to halt. Beyond just preventing break downs, it is necessary to keep equipments operation within specifications that will produce high level of quality.

Good maintenance management is important for the American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency cost control. AS-EPA rely on good conditioned equipments and vehicle in order for projects and operations to be implemented successfully.
